Awards
Over the years, Limestone House has received many awards for its contributions to improving the community and environment. These include:
-
A grant from Biffa Awards which is a multi-million pound fund which aims to help build communities throughout the UK. This was used to help relaunch the Multi-purpose Centre and refurbish some of the older parts. We hope this will mean even more people are able to enjoy the facilities on offer.
-
The East Midlands Achievement Award for Community Empowerment. The award was collected by Julie Holling at a conference at Melton Mowbray, together with a cheque for £2000.
-
The Community Association awarded Elmton & Creswell Village Company Association of the Year and the shop workers Volunteers of the Year in 2010. Julie Holling also won Volunteer of the Year in 2008.
